The Island Chef at the Great Wight Bite this weekend. I had a great weekend, enjoyed the atmosphere, food, talking to producers, chefs and doing several cookery demos. For everyone who came to listen and watch, thank you so much for your time and interest!

The weekend was fantastic with contrasting weather on both days. The hottest day of the year on Saturday, a slightly damp start and sunshine later on the Sunday! SO many talented chefs displaying their skills and a horde of food and drink creators offing fabulous food and drink all weekend. On top of this, the music stage hosted many groups and singers! Add to this a Kids Kitchen for youngsters to learn about food and cooking and a dogs area where they could cool down in pools and run around in safety.
I am looking forward to the weekend and excited for several reasons. I will host two of the chefs when they do their demos. On Saturday I will host Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall at 2.00pm and on the at 5.00pm I am hosting Dan Lythgoe and Michael Fuller from Harvey Browns in Arreton.
I am doing several demos on each day. On Saturday I am in the Masterclass kitchen at 12.30 to do Masterclass about Pasta and on the Sunday, I am doing a Masterclass about Canapes. On both afternoons, I am doing a demo about creating great dishes with chicken. The idea is to show you can cook a splendid meal that is not expensive, is easy to do and tasty! In these days when we must watch how much we are spending on food, hopefully these demos will help with these tasty recipes!
The weekend promises to be a fabulous event with food and drink from the island, chefs, and other experts talking and showing great recipes. With the wonderful range of food that is available to tantalise your tastebuds, along with delicious drinks made here as well, the choice is amazing! What are you going to drink and eat this weekend!
